I’m an entrepreneur first and foremost, and this has been the unifying principle of my work across investing, philanthropy, and public policy. For me, entrepreneurship means a perpetual dissatisfaction with the status quo, solving meaningful problems in novel ways, and enlisting extraordinary talent for each new journey. This outlook has guided me as founder of 8VC, as a partner to groundbreaking nonprofits, and as co-founder of the Cicero Institute, an incubator of public policy solutions focused on bottom-up innovation to benefit all Americans.
